Enough with the "to wear or not to wear" thing! While Texans stay obsessed with masks the Leftists are playing us like a bad fiddle. They are imposing socialism upon America, Texas as well, while dividing our society and crippling our economy. Remember that Socialism is an economic system spread, like a disease, by political control. While the stay-at-home measures were initially implemented as a temporary fight to control the rapid spread of the coronavirus, they were quickly seized upon by the democrats (leftists, liberals, socialists, communists and general control freaks) as a perfect method to spread the socialist ideology nationwide while imposing actual control measures upon our entire society. Their sole purpose of resisting a return to work and business is to attempt to stall until November and hurt President Trump. Texans, if we let socialism prevail we will all go down. Make note of the antics of San Antonio's City Council and city management where they mandate what words THEY feel are hateful, attack TITFF members as racist and eliminated the Citizens To Be Heard meeting on Wednesday to stifle the concerns of citizens. They then constricted or attempted to control the topic for discussion at the Thursday City Hall meeting. Whereas the City named the topic as "construction related" everyone there spoke about the Mayor's bigoted comments, free speech and the Cenotaph anyway.
This is painfully seen everywhere and every day but particularly in the congested cities. In rural areas not so much because officials are more in tune with their citizens. The cities are the sites of most viral and bacterial disease infections and also the sites of most cases of the disease of socialism. This sudden imposition of radical control during a crisis came as a shock to most Americans but it should not have been! This Leftist disease of socialism has been pandemic for decades. It is very important that clear-thinking real Americans make it known who the villians are and who the pawns are. The democrat party has morphed into the largest socialist organization in America with several upfront goals in mind. 1-Hate Trump, which really means hate Americans. 2-Get votes by any means possible, legal or otherwise, to further their control. 3-Strip away the law of the land by stifling the 1st , 2nd and 4th Amendment rights of citizens while they abuse and over step their powers under the 10th Amendment. They have control of the education system, the entertainment system, much of the judicial system and especially the Media. The Media, this cartel of Leftists, is the propaganda wing of the democrat party and are the greatest abusers of the 1st Amendment in our Country. This socialist disease sweeping across America is the disease Americans need be most concerned of because it could well be the death of our Country. The upcoming elections in November are going to determine for a long time if we retain our freedom and values or if we head down the destructive one-way road to communism. Think hard on it. IN TEXAS, WE LOOK OUR ENEMIES IN THE EYE WHEN WE SPEAK (TAKING THE FIGHT TO TYRANT NIRENBERG)5/13/2020 Texans & Patriots, across the state we have witnessed the far left attempt to turn the great state of Texas blue. In San Antonio we have our own tyrant ( Mayor Ron Nirenberg, the Boston native who thinks he is a body builder. smh In Texas we just call him a "girly man".), but each of you have your own local tyrants too (Houston Mayor Turner, the entire Dallas & Austin City Councils & Mayors, etc.). Today we are focusing on Tyrant Nirenberg. Tyrant Nirenberg San Antonio's tyrant (Tyrant Nirenberg) is just a puppet, controlled by the Castro brothers (Julian & Joaquin Castro). For those of you unfamiliar with the Castro's, Joaquin Castro is the liberal 20th Congressional District Representative in Texas and his brother Julian Castro is the former mayor of San Antonio, former Secretary of Housing & Urban Development under the Obama Administration as well as failed 2020 democrat presidental candidate. The Castro's learned their liberal way from mother Rosie Castro. She is the leader of the liberal/radical/terrorist organization La Raza Unida. To give you some insight on her, she went on Fox News and said she thinks the Alamo should be bulldozed and Texas ought to be returned to Mexico. She believes the Alamo Defenders were racist and she hates the fact that the Mexico Army, under Santa Anna's, was beaten at San Jacinto. She's a real piece of work.
Tyrant Nirenberg Many of you that have followed This Is Texas Freedom Force have seen that Tyrant Nirenberg seems to be on the wrong side of the people and the constitution on most issues. When talking about the Alamo Cenotaph, 97% percent of Texans voted across the state and they said, "DON'T MOVE THE ALAMO CENOTAPH"! Tyrant Nirenberg's response was "We here at the city have done are own polls and Texans are in support of moving the cenotaph". Smh We are pretty sure those polled were hand selected, most likely friends and family of Tyrant Nirenberg, Roberto Trevino & George P Bush. Tyrant Nirenberg has even gone as far as saying "I think everyone who shed blood in the defense of liberty and the things that they believe in, on both sides, ought to be honored, and that's exactly what the intent of this redevelopment plan is" when talking about the Alamo & the Reimagine The Alamo Masterplan. I guess we can expect a marker/bust/monument of Santa Anna being up then. smh When pressed on this issue Nirenberg said, "No statue of Santa Anna will be put up on the Alamo Footprint". Don't let the double talk fool you either, he said on the Alamo Footprint, well the South end of Alamo Plaza, where they want to relocate the Alamo Cenotaph, where the command post of the Mexican Army was, where the marker/bust/statue is being considered, well it is off of the Alamo Footprint. See how he did that? Typical double talking liberal politician. smh Don't worry, if they put it up, we will remove it! Next, in true tyrant fashion, Nirenberg had construction crews in Alamo Plaza the entire time you were told to stay at home. Sure construction workers are considered essential, but the work in Alamo Plaza was not essential. In fact, Nirenberg said in 2018 that the entire process of "Reimagining The Alamo" would be done in the view of the public, so the public could see what was happening. This was an outright lie! As soon as the stay at home orders took effect in San Antonio, the number of construction workers multiplied 5 times higher than usual. Up until the stay at home orders went into effect, about 5 construction workers were doing work in Alamo Plaza at any given time. After the stay at home orders went into effect, as many as 25 workers were on site almost everyday Monday-Friday. During this time the construction crews damaged & removed the Lady Bird Johson fountain. If TITFF members had not been on site, defying stay at home orders, the public never would have known they broke it. We'd also wouldn't be doing our job if we didn't tell you that a 10ft fence, with a blue tarp covering it, was placed around the entire South end of Alamo Plaza and behind the Alamo. So much for the public being able to see what is happening, but that's how tyrants work. Last week Tyrant Nirenberg & the San Antonio City Council passed a ordinance that makes saying the word "Chinese Virus or Kung Fu Virus" hate speech in San Antonio. smh The city claimed they did this because Chinese people living in San Antonio were being targeted and harassed, yet not 1 case of harassment was reported to SAPD or the City of San Antonio as of May 12, 2020. So I guess these harassment cases were all in Ronnie's head. smh Tyrant Nirenberg said if you use the term "Chinese Virus or Kung Fu Virus" its hate speech and authorities will be sent to your home to investigate you. Once again Tyrant Nirenberg has forgotten that even hate speech is protected by the 1st Amendment of the US Constitution. Not only do we have the right to free speech, there will be a sizable lawsuit filed if they try to enforce this unconstitutional ordinance on anyone. The people ought to be angry as hell that the City of San Antonio not only violated your rights with this ordinance, they also wasted your time and tax payer dollars to do it. Senator Ted Cruz even chimed in on this issue.
Given that Tyrant Nirenberg thinks he is some sort of king and the fact he has no respect for the constitution, we intend to go to the City Council Meeting at City Hall and educate Tyrant Nirenberg on the constitution & Texas. We invite anyone that wants to attend to join us.
May 14, 2020 8:00am 100 Military Plaza San Antonio, Texas IN TEXAS, WE LOOK TYRANTS IN THE EYE AND SAY WHAT WE NEED TO SAY! WE DON'T COWAR 12 BLOCKS AWAY, OR STAND OUTSIDE CITY HALL AND YELL OVER A BULLHORN. WE TAKE THE FIGHT TO THE ENEMY, FACE TO FACE, EYE TO EYE! We will brief all our members/supporters at 8am on where to sign up, and what to watch for. Weston Martinez (Texas's former Railroad Commissioner) will be joining us as well. First Amendment: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”
While I do not criticize Patriot Groups/Organizations from canceling physical rallies because of concerns about COVID-19, I am deeply concerned about Patriot Groups/Organizations closing their meetings in response to a Government mandate. Some Patriots are passionate about their beliefs and their God given rights. Other ones may be skittish about contracting COVID-19. The skittish ones and everyone with symptoms can remain at home. But when it comes to our God given rights, the Government does not have to right to determine how we can exercise our rights or how we should demonstrate those rights by mandating we cannot assemble. To even mandate that business should close there must be a provable compelling reason. There is a compelling reason to believe that the COVID-19 crisis is media-hyped and fear-driven. On paper, the stats and other essential information concerning COVID-19, do not add up to a crisis. Furthermore, several esteemed medical professionals have stated that the COVID-19 virus is way overblown and the measures taken by the Government are extreme. Not only is our economy being shut down, which will have devastating consequences, but now a precedent is being set that the Government can override the First Amendment to compel churches to suspend meetings. Should the Government be given the precedence to exercise such a power over the First Amendment based on such a flimsy premise? Consider that in Texas Gov Greg Abbott ordered bars, nightclubs, restaurants, entertainment venues and gyms to close as a measure to flatten the curve of COVID-19. Texas Gov Greg Abbott also called on houses of worship to close, but he wisely did not mandate their compliance. Okay, churches could comply with that “request” without any danger to their First Amendment rights. However, one church recognized the danger of submitting to a mandate and chose to exercise their constitutional freedom to assemble. In Louisiana, one pastor said that he believes COVID-19 is “politically motivated.” Therefore, he rejected the Governor’s mandate that services must be suspended. The church held a meeting on March 17 with hundreds of people attending. Although the police arrived and threatened that the National Guard would close them down, they held another meeting. Woody Jenkins, a former Louisiana state legislator, supports the church’s right to assemble. Jenkins stated, “Our attitude is the First Amendment rights rise and fall together: freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom of assembly, and freedom of the press.” Clay Higgins, a U.S. Congressman from Louisiana, sent a letter to the Governor declaring that his mandate on church gatherings is unconstitutional. “I agree that all our constituents and religious leaders should follow the recommendation of the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC),” Higgins wrote. “However, the decision to gather should be the choice of the individual or institution and not a mandate by any government entity. The state has no authority to enforce this proclamation nor any ban on the first amendment.” In Michigan, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer on Friday issued an executive order prohibiting all gatherings of more than 250 people, including religious meetings. Rep. Beau LaFave responded that the order is a violation of the First Amendment right to assemble and free exercise of religion LaFave said that the violation that amounted to throwing constitutional rights “out the window.” “I will always be the first person to agree with Gov. Whitmer that the state should take pro-active, sound measures to prevent the spread of any illness,” he said. “However, we must take action that is not in violation of the Constitution.” Attorney Otten Johnson opined that based on the Supreme Court’s decision in Perry Education Association v. Perry Local Educators’ Association, “restrictions on assembly are analyzed identically to restrictions on speech.” In other words, if the government can mandate the churches must close, it could possibly mandate a gag order on speech. If a Governor or President insists is a compelling reason to mandate all preaching and teaching should be suspended, would Richard Hammer concur? Johnson implies that there may not be enough precedent in the courts for the Government to enforce a mandate prohibiting our 1st Amendment rights. “Most religious groups gather at least some number of people together, and restrictions on large gatherings might well impact these organizations’ rights under the Free Exercise Clause of the First Amendment. In the case of a pandemic, governments may ultimately rely on compelling governmental interests—protection of life and health—to support their regulations. But beware, as there is little case law outlining what might constitute a compelling interest.” While the Government may claim precedence because of a health crisis, it is my strong opinion (and I am not a lawyer) that preserving the First Amendment is of greater concern. “Oh, but we wouldn’t take advantage and abuse the First Amendment,” they may say. Really? Why do we not trust you? It is not wise to trust a Government that in one year has a President that is favorable to Christianity, but the next year may have a President that has demonstrably anti-Christian? Would we want such a President to have the authority to ignore the First Amendment? I can imagine someone, such as Bernie Sanders, becoming President and using this precedence to prohibit church meetings based on a perceived threat to abortions rights, homosexual rights, or to his implementation of Socialism. Are the people ready to put their historical barrier against Government interference in their right to assemble in such jeopardy? What if one day we were told that we will not be allowed to buy or sell anything until we pledge allegiance to the Government, concede that it has power over our all our rights and all religion, and allow a mark to be tattooed on our hands and foreheads, publicly expressing our compliance? When are people going to wake up to the fact that there are some things worth standing for even if it means denying ourselves? Our rights come from God, not the constitution. The Constitution is there to limit Government from stepping on our rights. Therefore we will continue to exercise our God given rights. Brandon B TITFF President (This article reflects my opinion and not the views of the organization (members and directors as a whole) All across the great state of Texas, we have witnessed the incredible treasures preserved within libraries, in our schools, public buildings, historical societies, museums, and universities. Those who have traveled to our state Capitol have witnessed the beautiful monuments of eras of Civil War, Texas Revolution, and heroes to the great state of Texas. In county libraries in rural Texas, were the records of families who settled that land back in the early 1800’s, and at the Alamo you have seen and read William B Travis’s “Victory or Death” letter. All of these monuments, forts, libraries & archives, serve to preserve our heritage. They are a record of who and what we are. Sadly, though, most times we lose these treasures not by fire, flood, or willful destruction but by simple neglect or the ignorance of a few. History comes alive when someone is able to not only read about the past, but is also able to visit the places, examine the artifacts, touch it, appreciate the images and monuments, study the actual words of great men who came before us. For most people, history starts with simply learning about their family or their community. A concerted effort to preserve our heritage is a vital link to our cultural, educational, aesthetic, inspirational, and economic legacies — all of the things that quite literally make us who we are. History is not something obscure or unimportant. History plays a vital role in our everyday lives. We learn from our past in order to achieve greater influence over our future. History serves as a model not only of who and what we are to be, we learn what to champion and what to avoid. Everyday decision-making around the world is constantly based on what came before us. Why? BECAUSE OUR TEXAS HISTORY MATTERS. It is extremely important that we fight to preserve and save our Texas History from those who seek to destroy it and then try to rewrite it. This Is Texas Freedom Force has spent our entire existence fighting to save it. We eat, breathe and sleep Texas History. Sure national & state wide politics, our right to bear arms, first amendment rights, the right to life, and all of our rights are important to fight for. The majority of people would rather fight for or fight amongst themselves for/on these issues, but if we don’t fight to save our Texas History we will lose who we are, and in turn, lose our rights. Take for example, if we didn’t remember the Battle of Gonzales and those brave men who fought against the tyrannical dictator Santa Anna, we would forget that our right to bear arms is granted to us by God, not the government. This is just one example. Example 2, if we had forgot the Battle of the Alamo and those brave souls who fought against tyranny, even though they were outnumbered but still fought to the death for liberty, freedom and Texas, well, we may not have the appetite we have to fight for Texas, against any odds, and Texas might look something more New Mexico or Commiefornia. History is important to remember! It’s shapes us, molds us, and makes us who we are today. As long as This Is Texas Freedom Force is around, we will fight to preserve and protect our history. This way Texas’s future generations will be able to hold their heads high, knowing they came from a long line of brave Texans who were willing to stand for what we believed in. Whether it’s today (2020) talking about the Battle of the Alamo, or in the year 3020 talking about the stand that Texans made to protect the Alamo Cenotaph, they will know that that the same spirit of Texans, that rose from the ashes of San Jacinto, hasn’t died and was still alive and well in Texans today. God bless Texas! PROTECT TEXAS HISTORY THIS IS TEXAS FREEDOM FORCE "Protectors Of All Things Texas TxFreedomForce.org Follow us on Facebook, Twitter or here on our web site. Those who do not know history, are doomed to repeat it." Controversy has dogged the Reimagine The Alamo Plan ever since it started. After reviewing the Master Plan by team “Reimagine the Alamo” to significantly improve the visitor experience at Texas’ most historic and cherished site, it’s became clear that the state of Texas and the city of San Antonio are demonstrating to the nation and the world why you should never entrust an historic site to politicians and bureaucrats. Since 2017 when the plan was made public Texans have been largely skeptical and unreceptive to the proposals. Instead of fostering enthusiasm and pride, the public is expressing shock and angst. The Texas Legislature provided funds for upgrading the plaza after viewing the concepts of the creators of the Alamo Plaza Project. The money was intended to repair and preserve the Alamo Church, to reclaim (as much as possible) the “footprint” of the Alamo, and restore certain structures and walls such as the Low Barracks/Main Gate, Crockett’s Palisade, and much of the west wall, including Travis’ headquarters. But the spirit and intent expressed by the Texas legislature was set aside for a different direction — an alternate vision as laid out in the “Reimagine the Alamo” Master Plan. After evaluation of the master plan, it made Texans wonder if it was designed by a landscaping team from Better Homes and Gardens instead of Texas Historians. Of course that blame solely falls on the shoulders of George P Bush and the City of San Antonio. Instead of focusing on and presenting the most compelling moment in Texas history, the master planners opt for a presentation that diminishes the sacrifice made by those who perished in the famous battle in preference for a memorial park where people can gather, lounge in the shade, cool their toes, and take pictures. This is not how we interpret and present our nation’s historic battlefields. This Is Texas Freedom Force has been fighting the Reimagine the Alamo Plan since mid 2017. Since the beginning our primary objective is to ensure the #AlamoCenotaph stays in its original location. Our commitment and determination to save the 60 ft. high 40 ft. long #AlamoCenotaph located in front of the Alamo has inspired thousands of Texans from all across the state, to keep the memorial from being moved/removed. Texans should question whether or not the perceived benefits of moving the Cenotaph some 500 feet South to a new location in front of the Menger Hotel are worth the costs and very real possibility that this priceless work of art by renowned sculptor Pompeo Coppini might be destroyed in the process of being dismantled and moved. Then there is question WHY? Why is it so important for the City of San Antonio and George P Bush to move the Alamo Cenotaph? Most of yall know that the Cenotaph's sculpture Pompeo Coppini picked this location out for several reasons. One, the cenotaph sits in the exact center of the entire Alamo Footprint. Two, Coppini wanted the sun to rise and set on the figures (Davy Crockett, William B Travis, J Bowie, etc.) on the side of the cenotaph. Last but not least the Alamo Cenotaph sits on the Alamo Footprint. If George P Bush and the City of San Antonio get their way the cenotaph will sit off of the Alamo Footprint. When This Is Texas Freedom Force attended a private meeting with District 1 City Councilman Roberto Trevino and Reimagine The Alamo Engineers, the question was brought up "Why does the Cenotaph have to be moved". Immediately the meeting was shut down and no answer was given. Trevino's response was, "We can schedule another meeting to answer that question". After several attempts by TITFF directors to set up that meeting, it was made clear that no meeting will take place to answer that question. What is the City of San Antonio hiding? Why can't they answer this question? There is much speculation that the plan is to start work on the cenotaph and have a "Ooops moment" where they damage the cenotaph. Then the city will claim they don't have the money to repair it, and it will sit in a dark, damp warehouse indefinitely, just like they did with the Travis Park Monument. Some believe this is an attempt to rewrite history, others believe this about money. Whatever the case, we cannot give them an inch ( #NotOneInch), if we do, they are likely to dishonor the empty tomb of the Alamo Defenders. There is renewed hope to save the cenotaph since Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick spoke up and criticized George P Bush's handling of the Reimagine the Alamo Project. 184 years ago tomorrow, brave men fought and died to save the Alamo. It was a battle that changed the course of history for Texas, the United States and the world. Now it is time for Texans to come together to fight for it again. How can I help to save the Alamo Cenotaph?
There are a few ways, you as Texans, can help us save the Alamo Cenotaph. First, please take a few minutes out your life to call or write Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick and ask him to ask Governor Greg Abbott to call a special session so that a #MonumentProtectionBill can be passed. This will stop the City of San Antonio and George P Bush from ram rodding their Alamo Master Plan down the throats of Texans. This Is Texas Freedom Force has been visiting Senators, House Members and Legislators, gaining their support, and we are prepared to hit the ground running with a Monument Protection Bill. We fully believe we have enough support from both Republicans and Democrats to get this bill passed. LT. GOV. DAN PATRICK 1-512-463-0001 PO BOX 12068 AUSTIN, TX 78711 ( you can be linked directly to his email by clicking on the box below) Secondly, there is a Texas Historical Commission Meeting in Houston, TX on March 24, 2020. At the first meeting, there were only about 10 people who showed up to speak on behalf of the Alamo Cenotaph. Despite the low turnout, the Commission kicked the can down the road to be decided in March. If we can pack the meeting with hundreds of Texans, it is likely that we will be able to convince the Texas Historical Commission to stop them from moving the Alamo Cenotaph. The address and other information about the meeting is posted on both our This Is Texas Freedom Force Facebook event and on our web site colander. This will likely be the last meeting where the public can speak out against the moving/removing of the Alamo Cenotaph. Please come out and take a stand for Texas History! TEXAS HISTORICAL COMMISSION MEETING MARCH 24, 2020 2900 SAGE ROAD HOUSTON, TEXAS 9:00AM Last but not least contact your representative and ask them to join our Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick in demanding a special session be called. The more push Patrick gets, the better our chances to stop the City of San Antonio and George P Bush from moving/removing the Alamo Cenotaph. These are our best options at this time. Yes, there are lawsuits out there, but these lawsuits will have little effect, if any at all. Remember, the lawsuits filed on other monuments haven't ended well (except for one). When Trevino was provided the deed to the Alamo Cenotaph, which said that the space could not be used for anything but the cenotaph, Trevino laughed and said," Our lawyers will find a way around it". We have to remember that the City of San Antonio has a lot of money, to pay top lawyers, and eventually get the lawsuits dismissed. Not to mention Texans have no clue where the bulk of the $450 million dollars allotted to the Reimagine The Alamo Project has gone. So please make a call or email our Lt. Gov. and attend the March 24th Texas Historical Commission Meeting. The fight to save the Alamo Cenotaph continues in 2020 and there is a lot to be excited about. On March 3, 2020 (and during early voting) Texans who voted on the Republican Ballot saw Proposition 7 concerning the Alamo and the Alamo Cenotaph. PROP 7 Over 90% of conservative Texans voted yes on Prop 7, saying "Leave the Alamo Cenotaph and our Texas Monuments alone". Never before has the bulk of Texans had a say in the matter. Sure TITFF and others have ran petitions, asking people to sign the petitions "Don't move the cenotaph", but those petitions only produced about 10,000 signatures. Prop 7 allowed the majority of conservative Texans to have their say, over 1,282,180 voted "Yes" and only just over 37,976 conservative Texans voted "No". Some speculation has occurred that some Texans were confused by the phrasing of the question, and they would have voted "Yes" if they better understood the question. Immediately following the vote, TITFF Directors started blowing up Lt Gov. Dan Patrick and Gov. Greg Abbott's social media feeds asking, "What are you going to do to stop the cenotaph from being moved?" Late that same night on March 3, 2020 Lt Gov Dan Patrick posted this comment on Twitter. This was great news for Texans! For over 3 years TITFF has tried to grasp the attention of Dan Patrick concerning the Alamo Cenotaph. Now we have his attention! TITFF continued to tag Patrick in Twitter post, hounding him, asking "What are you going to do about the Alamo Cenotaph?" We never heard anything back on Twitter, but we continued sending him tweets. Finally today, March 5, 2020, Lt Gov. Dan Patrick spoke up and released this statement... There is no disagreement that the Cenotaph needs repair, but there has been substantial disagreement on its final location. I have yet to hear a good explanation of why the Cenotaph must be moved. In the Republican Primary on Tuesday, nearly 98% of voters supported Proposition 7, which would prohibit the removal of historic monuments in Texas, including the Cenotaph. This issue now seems to be settled. We are excited and hopeful now that Texans have gotten Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick's attention, but the big question is what is he going to do about it? The City of San Antonio (under the leadership of Mayor Ron Nirenberg & D1 Councilman Roberto Trevino) wanted to start moving the Alamo Cenotaph back in December of 2019. A HDRC ruling kicked the can down the road a bit, and the Texas Historical Commission ruling kicked the can down the road even further. We all know Trevino was licking his lips and chomping at the bit to get this plan started in April, but hopefully Lt Gov Dan Patrick will put a stop to this himself or let the people of Texas vote on the issue all together in November (both Democrats & Republicans). We need to apply pressure to Patrick and let him know words are cheap, we want to see action. One last thing to remember, we still need Texans to turn out in force for the next Texas Historical Commission Meeting in Houston, Tx on March 24, 2020. With all this new info out, we should be able to convince the THC to put a halt to the Reimagine The Alamo Project, more specifically stop the moving of the Alamo Cenotaph. Please put this date in your calendars, come prepared to speak, and lets finish what we started! #NotOneInch
March 24, 2020 9:00am Courtyard by Marriot 2900 Sage Road Houston, Texas 77056 On Dec 18, 2019 the Historic Design and Review Commission (HDRC) voted 7-4 to implement phase 1 of the massive re-development of Alamo Plaza, a plan that includes relocating the Alamo Cenotaph. This basically gave the green light to the city of San Antonio to start moving the Alamo Cenotaph. The City of San Antonio has said that they intend to start work on the plaza in December 2019. This Is Texas Freedom Force (TITFF) members/supporters and Texans from all over packed the HDRC meeting room, there was standing room only. All but 3 people spoke out against relocating the Alamo Cenotaph, but it fell on mostly def ears. This was the last public meeting that the citizens of Texas will be able to speak in opposition of the Re-Imagine The Alamo Plan concerning the Alamo Cenotaph. The first phase of the planned $450 million makeover of Alamo Plaza could begin as early as December 2019, starting with moving the 1930's Alamo Cenotaph and converting the South part of the plaza into a shady, expanded pedestrian space." TITFF and Texans have attended Alamo Meetings since 2017, pouring our hearts out, speaking against the plan to relocate the Alamo Cenotaph. The time for talk is over, now, we as Texans, must act in order to be heard. A wise man once said," When it is obvious that the goals cannot be reached, don't adjust the goals, adjust the action steps". Texans, it is time to put boots on the ground. Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time". A few weeks ago TITFF was approached by a reliable source, that showed us proof the City of San Antonio were set to start work on the Alamo Cenotaph on Dec 28, 2019 (equipment would be set up on Dec 27th, with work to begin on the Dec 28th). The channels that we were watching, to stay on top of this information, went dark as of Monday evening (Dec 16th). We are no longer able to monitor this information. The City of San Antonio (COSA) has a history of doing this and removing monuments in the dead of night. The last monument they removed, which isn't half the size of the Alamo Cenotaph, was damaged and the time capsule was subjected to rain, thus destroying a lot of what was in it. We must try to stop the COSA from destroying the Alamo Cenotaph. On December 27, 2019, high noon (12pm), Texans from all over the state will make our move, and stop the COSA from starting their effort to move the Alamo Cenotaph. A Facebook event titled "Re-Defend The Alamo" has been made to relay important details to Texans. Click on the button below to be directed to the event. Because the COSA is known for doing their dirty work in the cover of darkness, we will be staying until Dec 28, 2019, maybe longer if need be. If thousands of Texans show up to this event on the 27th, we should accomplish our objective by the 28th. If only 50 of us show up, well as Doc Greene put it," We will only be able to witness the destruction of our beloved monument, the Alamo Cenotaph. What's your objective? There are 2 objectives, we aim to accomplish, by holding this event. Objective 1, which is obvious, to surround the Alamo Cenotaph and stop the COSA from moving forward with their plan (not allow the cranes to get anywhere near the Alamo Cenotaph). Objective 2, is stir up enough noise, with thousands of Texans, to force Lt Governor Dan Patrick and Governor Greg Abbott to step in and say," Let's hold off on relocating the Alamo Cenotaph until (A) Texans get to vote on this issue or (B) allow the Texas Legislators to open public discussion and make a decision. TITFF will be sending out a press release to over 20 media outlets, asking them to cover the event, so that the voices of Texans are heard across the state. In addition to that, the thousands of Texans in attendance can live stream video from their personal Facebook, Youtube and Twitter pages, as well as their organizations' pages, to help word spread around the state. Texans, we are drawing a line in the sand, just like Col William B Travis, will you cross the line? SUPPLIES AND SUPPLY DROPS Since we will be staying at the Alamo Cenotaph for over 24 hours (Dec 27-28), supplies are real important. We advise Texans to bring their own supplies to sustain themselves over night (snacks, water, meds, etc). TITFF will have two supply drops, where Texans can donate supplies, 1 in Spring, Texas and the other in San Antonio, Texas. EVENT DETAILS We will meet at the rally point ( 300 Ave E San Antonio, Texas) at 12 noon on Dec 27, 2019. After a brief discussion we will make our move. We intend to stay from 12pm Dec. 27, 2019 till 12pm Dec 28, 2019. We encourage Texans, Texas Organizations, III%ers, Oath Keepers, Militias, to attend the event. Remember, if we can get 1,000 people on site, we will be heard. If you will not stand for the Alamo, when will you ever stand? The weather will be cool during the day and cold at night. We highly advise people to come dressed in layers. You can always shed clothes on site if you get too hot, but it's better to have them there to stay warm. TITFF has already arranged a Hotel Room in the area that will be used as our command center. This will help us keep and eye on the site, any activity happening there, and any counter measures that the city might take. The location of our command center will not be disclosed, incase there is any opposition monitoring our site. We will be using the "Zello" app as a way to communicate in real time to all participants. You can download the Zello App on your phone for free. The channel we will be using and the password will remain undisclosed until participants arrive at the rally location. We would advise that you download the app early, get use to using it, so you do not have to learn on site. We are also looking into 2 way radios that can be used as a secondary form of communication. Doc Greene, from the Amazing Doc Greene Show, will be there to broadcast his show live from the Alamo Cenotaph. Also George "El Conservador" Rodriguez has confirmed he will be there to do his show from the Alamo Cenotaph as well. This will help spread the word from the Alamo Cenotaph. Open Carry.... TITFF is a strong supporter of the 2nd Amendment. You can open carry or conceal carry to the event if you like. We do ask that any and all Texans thinking about carrying to the event, be fully aware of the consequences that could arise if you carry. So the choice is up to you. We will support you either way. Texans, this is our last chance to protect the Alamo Cenotaph. Please spread the word and come prepared.
HERE ARE A FEW COMMENTS, FROM TEXANS, READ TO CITY COUNCIL AT THE CTHI MEETINGS
January of 2018 we knew the majority of San Antonio City Councilmembers were not listening. At every one of the CTBI Meetings, the majority of City Councilmembers were playing games or texting on their phones. We even caught, and took pictures of, D5 San Antonio City Councilwoman Shirley Gonzales sleeping at 2 of the CTBI Meetings. We called her out on it, she denied it, but the photos/videos proved she was taking a "Santa Anna Siesta" during the CTBI Meetings. Other TITFF Members started bringing up the fact that Councilmembers were not listening to the people, they were more interested in their iPhones and iPads while constituents were addressing them. At this point TITFF Directors called a meeting to discuss a different tactic, because we weren't getting anywhere in the CTBI Meetings. We started scheduling meetings & meeting with Councilmembers one on one, to discuss the "Reimagine The Alamo Master Plan", but more importantly their plan to move the Alamo Cenotaph. It's important to note that D1 Councilman Roberto Trevino, D2 Councilman Cruz Shaw, D3 Councilwoman Rebecca J Viagran and D5 Councilwoman Shirley Gonzales refused to meet with members of TITFF . Other Councilmen were happy to meet with us, and 2 of the members of City Council (D9 John Courage, D10 Clayton Perry) told TITFF Directors/Members that we had won them over at the CTBI Meetings and they would vote "NO" on moving the Alamo Cenotaph. It was a small victory, but it gave us some encouragement to continue the fight. In 2018 TITFF Directors/Members attended a total of 89 Alamo Meetings (this includes CTBI Meetings, Alamo Trust Meetings, Alamo Endowment Board Meetings, Alamo Roadshow Meetings, Alamo Advisory Meetings, HDRC Meetings and others). It's important to point out that TITFF is the only organization that attending every single Alamo related meeting in 2018, other organizations attended some meetings, but TITFF never missed a single meeting. This is how important the Alamo and the Cenotaph is to us. TITFF Directors/Members have jobs, they have lives, but God bless every single one of them for showing up to represent the organization and our stance on the Alamo Cenotaph. #NotOneInch Since D1 Councilman Roberto Trevino is the head of the Central Development Committee (which the Cenotaph sits in his district), and he heads up the Alamo Endowment Board, TITFF launched a recall effort in Jan 2018, to remove Trevino from office. We hoped that we could remove Trevino from office, which would give San Antonians an opportunity to elect someone who would stop the Alamo Cenotaph from being moved and most likely damaged. Not only that, but by recalling Trevino it would have sent a stern message to the rest of city council, possibly changing their minds to support the moving of the cenotaph. What we found, once we started the recall, was that the majority of citizens in Trevino's district were unhappy with the fact that Trevino had spent $68,000 tax payer dollars to paint a crosswalk rainbow, he spent $500,000 on a glorified port-o-potty in the Downtown area, he also used tax payer dollars to secure a location to build a monument to Salina (which looked like something from a junkyard), he spent all this money on these things yet many citizens in his district didn't have sidewalks or street lights in their neighborhoods. Another issue we found is there were pot holes knee deep in District 1, the citizens were tired of him misusing funds and they certainly were not happy to spend tax payer dollars moving the cenotaph while their neighborhood suffered and streets needed repairs. TITFF block walked and set up signing locations in D1, we got to talk to the people of D1 and they weren't happy with Trevino. The problem we ran into was man power. 4 TITFF Directors worked 60+ hours a week, about 8 members volunteered 2 or 3 hours a week, and that was all the help we received. Not one person from another organization came out to help with the recall effort. We had a chance to stop the Alamo Cenotaph from being moved, the people of D1 wanted Trevino gone for various reasons, but lack of volunteers hindered the effort and we lacked the desired amount of signatures to remove Trevino from office. Did we quit? Nope! We started to see that we were getting nowhere with the San Antonio City Council, so we turned our attention to the State level. We still attended and spoke out at CTBI Meetings, but our focus was on the GLO race. In March 2018 TITFF hosted our annual "Remember The Alamo March", but this year we brought out every candidate for Texas General Land Office except for George P Bush. At the end of the march, we invited Davey Edwards, Andy Prior, Matt Pina, Rick Range and Jerry Patterson out to speak to Texans. Hundreds of Texans came out to pay their respects to our brave Alamo Defenders, who died for Texas, and to hear what each GLO candidate had to say about the "Reimagine The Alamo Plan". Every single GLO candidate said they would stop the Alamo Cenotaph from being moved, if they were elected. Unfortunately, not enough of Texans were paying attention. Between straight party ticket voting, Texans not paying attention, and the Bush name in the race, George P Bush won the primary. Later that year Matt Pina ran against George P Bush in the general election, yet again, Bush won the election and the Reimagine The Alamo Plan moved forward. Unfortunately, not enough Texans were paying attention and this is what George P Bush, Mayor Ron Nirenberg and D1 Councilman Roberto Trevino were counting on. So throughout 2018 TITFF held an array of events/functions. In 2018 TITFF hosted numerous events at the Alamo Cenotaph, each with a minimum of 100 people in attendance. We participated in 3 parades across the state with our float themed "Protect Texas History". The Alamo was our float centerpiece, and at every parade we passed out literature about "Alamo Cenotaph". TITFF took home 1st place at one parade and 3rd place at another. TITFF hosted townhall style meetings in Amarillo, Houston, Waco, San Antonio, Dallas, Corpus Christi and El Paso, trying to educate Texans on what George P Bush and the City of San Antonio were going to do with the Alamo Cenotaph. TITFF worked at the Republican Convention, passing out information about the Reimagine The Alamo Plan, and helped pass plant 296 and 315( Plank 296 calls for the Alamo Cenotaph to not be moved & 315 had to do with protecting Texas Confederate Monuments)(2 of our TITFF Directors are Texas Delegates). George P Bush was booed at the convention, unfortunately not all politicians followed the plank passed by Texas Delegates. Last TITFF held our annual "Christmas At The Alamo" event, where we had Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus and elves hand out free toys and take free photos in front of the Alamo Christmas Tree. While parents & kids were waiting in line to get their pic with Santa & Mrs. Claus, TITFF Members were handing out pamphlets about the Reimagine The Alamo plan, the Alamo Cenotaph, and explaining to them that they most likely will never get to do this again if the Reimagine The Alamo plan is passed. In 2018, TITFF attended the City of San Antonio's vote on the Alamo Cenotaph and the Reimagine The Alamo Plan. Before the vote took place Councilman Brockhouse walked up to TITFF Directors and informed them he was going to vote "YES" on the plan. During the vote Councilman Brockhouse looked towards TITFF, sitting in the audience, and told us, "You guys won, you stopped the city of San Antonio from moving the Cenotaph off of Market Street, we are only moving it 500 feet now, you guys won" (The first plan was to move the Alamo Cenotaph off of Market Street which is blocks away from the Alamo, kind of a dark quiet corner where the Alamo Defenders wouldn't be in the way of George P Bush's, D1 Councilman Roberto Trevino's, Alamo CEO Douglas McDonald's and Mayor Ron Nirenberg's new narrative for the Alamo). Not one person from TITFF took this as a victory. A full victory for us would be the Alamo Cenotaph repaired in place and left standing in the center of the Alamo Footprint. Although no one was aloud to speak at the meeting, TITFF's President Brandon B and TITFF's Research Director Keri stood up and spoke out on behalf of Texans, both were escorted out of city hall. The City Council voted 8-2 to pass the Reimagine The Alamo Plan and our fight to save the Alamo Cenotaph from being moved had stopped in San Antonio, we had lost a critical battle, but the war was far from over. In 2019 TITFF camped out at the Capitol Building in Austin, Texas. We took our directors, members and on a few occasions supporters to the capitol to talk to Senators, House Members as well as Legislators, trying to garner support for our monument protection bill SB1663. This bill stated that any historical monument 40 years old or older COULD NOT BE REMOVED, and any monument 25 years old to 40 years old had to be voted on by the people of Texas in order to move or remove it. This was a great bill because it included and mentioned the Alamo Cenotaph in the bill as well as all Texas monuments, including Confederate monuments. TITFF had been working with a Senator since 2017 to get a Monument Protection Bill passed. In 2017 we were late getting to work on the bill, so when we started pushing for the bill, we were pushing to get the bill placed on the Special Session called by Governor Greg Abbott. Unfortunately our bill was not added to the Special Session, so we promised our members and supporters we would hit the ground running for the 2019 Legislative Session. TITFF spent months at the capitol, talking to Senators, House Members and even Legislators, trying to gather support for the bill. TITFF testified in 2 hearings, which our bill was passed, then we sat on the Senator Floor offering support to our Senator, who did a absolute great job on the Senate Floor pushing the bill. The bill passed the Senate and on we went to the House with only 1 week left in the 2019 Legislative Session. Texans from all over the state were emailing and calling their representatives asking them to support SB1663. Unfortunately, speaker Bonnen and Greg Abbott got to the leadership in the House and our bill was never allowed to be heard on the House Floor. This was sickening to TITFF, and like one of our Directors said, "This feels like a punch in the gut". At this point our options were very limited, but we did not give up. At this point TITFF turned our attention to the 2019 Runoff Election for Mayor of San Antonio (between Ron Nirenberg and Greg Brockhouse), TITFF scheduled a sit down with Greg Brockhouse, in hopes we could convince him to stop the moving of the Alamo Cenotaph, if he was elected. You see the polls for the runoff election were close, we hoped if we could change Brockhouse's mind, it would give him enough support to win and give Texans fighting for the Alamo Cenotaph a win. At the meeting between TITFF and Councilman/Mayoral Candidate Brockhouse, he said, "If I become Mayor, I will disclose the location of the Travis Park Monument and will form a commission to put it back up. I support allowing the public to vote on the Alamo Cenotaph or any monument the city wants removed/moved, that is 40 years old or older". We asked Councilman Brockhouse if we could post the quote onto our Facebook page and he agreed. Unfortunately Candidate Greg Brockhouse didn't win the Runoff Election against Ron Nirenberg. It's important to point out that if Greg Brockhouse would have voted "NO" on the Reimagine The Alamo Plan, most likely he would have won the Runoff Election, and the Alamo Cenotaph would not be threatened to move. In March 2019, TITFF was back at it again hosting our annual "Remember The Alamo March". At the event we brought out more Texans, like Dr. Alma Arredondo, George "El Conservador" Rodrigues, Lamar Henry, Bob Sanders, and many more, to speak to the crowd. Again Texans should up in large numbers, and our message could be heard all across Alamo Plaza. The march was a success, and even more Texans learned of the plan to move the Alamo Cenotaph. In mid 2019, TITFF held another Town Hall meeting at the Waffle House in Amarillo, Tx. There we informed the public about the status of the Monument Protection Bill, the actions of some politicians, and our continued fight to save the Alamo Cenotaph. The meeting was standing room only and every Texan in attendance was angry. Most could not believe they had not heard about this plan to move the Alamo Cenotaph, others said they would be contacting their representative, and try to sway him to stop the Reimagine The Alamo Plan. On Dec 4, 2019, TITFF attended the Historic Review and Design Commission meeting (HDRC) and spoke up on behalf of Texans, trying to get the HDRC to stop the plan to move the Alamo Cenotaph. Thankfully, the Tap Pilam Nation (Native American Coalition) had filed a Federal Lawsuit seeking for the site to be recognized an Official Cemetery. Because of this lawsuit, and this lawsuit alone, the HDRC tabled the plan to move the Alamo Cenotaph (voted 8-3) until they had time to be briefed on the merits of the lawsuit. This bought Texans some time to continue the fight to save the Alamo Cenotaph. The next HDRC meeting is scheduled on Dec 18, 2019 (tomorrow), 1pm, at 1901 South Alamo Street. TITFF has already made plans to attend the next meeting. Our most recent battle to save the Alamo Cenotaph took place in Downtown San Antonio. TITFF was asked to join a "Save Our Texas History March" and speak at the end of the march. TITFF brought out about 40 supporters and TITFF Vice President Lamar Henry spoke at the event. At the last second TITFF President Brandon B was asked to speak too because 1 or 2 speakers did not show up. The idea of the march was educate Texans and tourist of the battle to save the Alamo Cenotaph. There were a lot of Texans that learned about this plan, to move the Alamo Cenotaph, that had no idea it was happening. Sadly, we are in the 11th hour, but the fight continues! So as you can see, This Is Texas Freedom Force has been in the forefront of this battle to save the Alamo Cenotaph, but like we stated at the beginning of this article, you wouldn't know everything that TITFF has done if you hadn't been following us on our Facebook page. The media won't cover it because they don't want to show an organized resistance against the Reimagine The Alamo Master Plan, and others won't tell you that TITFF has been at the forefront of this battle all along.
Today TITFF has multiple social media pages, website, groups, etc., that you can follow to stay up to date on varies battles and issues. We invite everyone to join us in our battles, and participate in lots of different ways. During the TITFF #NotOneInch battle, we have only asked 2 times (since 2017) for Texans to help us financially in our battle to save the Alamo Cenotaph. The rest has been done on the dimes of TITFF Directors/Members or those who donate unsolicited (Which we cannot thank them enough). If you would like to follow us, there are several social media icons at the bottom of every page on this website, tap on them, it will send you straight to our Facebook, Twitter or Youtube pages. Reminder- hit follow or like on our pages to stay informed. PS- Texans, join the fight, stay the course, continue the fight, we have to stop the city of San Antonio and George P Bush from moving the Alamo Cenotaph. #NeverSurrenderNorRetreat #NotOneInch #DontMoveTheAlamoCenotaph God bless Texas, "Protector Of All Things Texas" This Is Texas Freedom Force TxFreedomForce.org
They used to take us there when we were schoolchildren. They told us how glorious that battle was. When I grew up I learned that "heroes" of the Alamo were a bunch of drunks and crooks and slaveholding imperialist who conquered land that didn't belong to them. But as a little girl I got the message - we were losers. I can truly say that I hate that place and everything that it stands for. Rosie Castro hates the Alamo. So it is no surprise that a mayor who is buddied up with the Castro family would be the one to bring forth the "Reimagine the Alamo Plan". All of what we have mentioned above, along with action by the city council and several other comments from Trevino, Nirenberg, and George P Bush is why Texans do not trust them. How can any red blooded Texan trust them to honor our Alamo and Cenotaph when Roberto Trevino laughs in the face of Texans and says "Our lawyers will find a way around that" when he is presented the deed of the Alamo Cenotaph which says the space cannot be used for anything else but the Cenotaph? How can Texans trust them when Mayor Ron Nirenberg makes quotes about honoring both sides? The answer is you can't. Make no mistake Texans, this isn't about honoring our Alamo Defenders, its all about money and rewriting history. The Alamo Cenotaph is exactly where Texans, and most importantly where Coppini want it, in the middle of the Alamo Footprint where the sun would rise on the Alamo Defenders in the East and set on them in the West. If Mayor Nirenberg truly meant the quote "honor both side", the Travis Park Monument would still be standing in Travis Park. Texans, it's time to put a stop to the rewriting and watering down of our Texas history. If you will not fight for the Spirit of Sacrfice now, you most likely will never fight at all. I think everyone who shed blood in the defense of liberty and the things that they believe in, on both sides, ought to be honored, and that's exactly what the intent of this redevelopment plan is. Visit our "Event Page" to see how you can help fight for our Texas history.
